Sowing the seeds for success in Kirkcaldy
Schools, nurseries, Fife Council, Kirkcaldy4All, Fife Coast and Countryside Trust, Greener Kirkcaldy, allotments groups and horticultural groups were all represented at the ‘How to Grow Kirkcaldy’ seminar, organised by Growing Kirkcaldy the group set up to help coordinate horticultural projects around the town held in the Adam Smith Theatre’s Beveridge Suite.
The groups got together to discuss some of the recent projects which have helped the town gain success in Beautiful Scotland and Britain in Bloom events and how the success can be built on, as well as what can be done to help groups wishing to start their own projects, how schools can get involved and funding sources.

Hide AdAlice Soper, chairman of Growing Kirkcaldy, said: “It was really encouraging to see so many people there who also want to make sure Kirkcaldy is at its best as an attractive, safe and welcoming town. There was a good mix of people who said they enjoyed the seminar.
“An evaluation sheet has been sent out so we will soon find out in more detail what was most beneficial to our audience and what we can do next.”
