Staff and customers at Fife leisure centres have been spinning pennies into pounds to raise money for charity.

By encouraging employees and users at Michael Woods and Kirkcaldy Leisure Centres to pop their loose change into two money spinners they have been able to collect an amazing £3,440 in under four years for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS).

Chiara Alagia, CHSS assistant fundraiser, said: “Thank-you to everyone who has donated. These vital funds raised are the equivalent to almost five weeks’ worth of support from our specialist stroke nurses who help people to get their lives back on a track following a stroke.”
