Born and bred St Andrean Brian works away most of the day as a project manager in Edinburgh and 20 years ago decided that joining the squad was the perfect opportunity to give something back to the community.

Reminicising about one of his more memorable rescues he laughs about the bull in a swimming pool story. “It is certainly a rescue that sticks out in my memory as one of the funniest and caused no harm.” The firefighters had to help the family at Kinaldy Farm remove the water...and a bull from their recently fitted pool.

Brian added: “I am looking forward to the next 20 years!”
