9. Walk the FIfe Coastal Path
The East Neuk of Fife can get very busy over the summer - particularly since the pandemic hit - but autumn is a far more relaxing time to visit this tranquil spot. Stay in one of the stunning coastal villages - Anstruther, Crail, St Monans, Pittenweem, Leven or Kingsbarns - then spend your time visiting the others following the well-maintained path. If you're feeling particularly energetic you can even follow it all the way to St Andrews.

10. Go clubbing in Dundee
If you've not visited Dundee for a while you might be surprised at how the city has been transformed - particularly the waterfront area overlooking the silvery Tay. The architecturally-stunning V&A Sesign Museum has announced the extention of its hugely-popular 'Night Fever: Designing Club Culture' exhibition until January 2022. It's the first major exhibition exploring the relationship between club culture and design from the 1960s to today and will bring back happy memeories for many. Combine it with a longer stay in the city and enjoy Dundee's burgeoning food and drink scene.
