This coming Tuesday, August 16, the competition for this year’s event will close, with the winners announced later in the week.

A mix of 25 primary schools and nurseries entered the competition to win £500 for their establishment, with the number of votes so far exceeding 2220, given both in the centre and online on the Kingdom website.

Robert Winter, centre manager, said: “We’ve loved having the hippos back this year and it could be one of the most successful years to date in terms of votes.
