Organised by Angela Brown, a children’s support worker with the charity, the event aimed to raise money to help young people affected by domestic abuse.

From the day, £543 was raised for the charity.

As well as the races, which youngsters from nursery age upwards were welcome to take part in, there was also a grand tombola to which many local businesses had donated prizes to.

Those younger than primary three had the chance to run 1km in the fun run, while the older children ran 3km.

St Paul’s RC Primary School received a special prize for being the school with the most participants on the day.

Organisers would like to say a massive thank you to all those who took part on Saturday and also those businesses that donated prizes for the tombola.
