£7000 stash found in Methil drugs raid

CANNABIS worth £7000 has been recovered after a drugs raid in Methil.

A 37-year-old man will now be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with the seizure which was made on Friday, July 20.

The raid was led by Sergeant Colin Falconer of the Force Safer Neighbourhoods Team, who said: “Fife Constabulary and the Community Safety Partnership are committed to targeting anti-social behaviour within the Fife Community.

“This drugs seizure is a sign of the commitment the partnership has to providing a safer environment for the people of Fife.”

Levenmouth Inspector, Donald Jenks, said that drugs continue to cause harm to communities and that the force was we are “very grateful” for information that helps to target those who peddle in the area.

He added: “The Safer Neighbourhoods Team continues to support local efforts to disrupt drug dealing.

“The public are asked to continue to pass information to us that enables us to take positive action against those who continue to deal drugs and can do so by calling us on 0845 600 5702 or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
