An accident in Kirkcaldy town centre caused traffic chaos on Saturday morning.
The crash involving four cars resulted in the closure of part of Links Street and diversions being put in place.
The Esplanade is closed to allow for the Links Market and traffic had been diverted via Links Street.
Following the accident at 11.30am close to the junction with Pratt Street, drivers struggled to find an alternative route with buses diverted via Methven Road and through residential streets before rejoining Pratt Street.
Links Street was partially closed for more than three hours as police investigated the cause of the crash.
Officers reported as far as they knew there had been no serious injuries but on person did have to be cut from their car by firefighters.
Four police cars and an ambulance were also called to the scene.
