Top comedy and musical talent is assembling at The Venue in Methil on Sunday to help raise money for a local wheelchair-bound woman.

Pattie Chapman (60), of Buckhaven, suffers from a form of paraplegia – but a host of entertainers aim to help her buy an electric wheelchair to assist her mobility and also ease the burden on her husband, Paul.

The event, compered by Jim Gilmour, is from 2pm-6pm and features, among others, international entertainers Tony Andrews and Jackie Clarke, Liz Clarke, who is a colleague of East Wemyss singer Janey Kirk, and Scotland’s oldest working comedian, Marion Martell.

Tickets are £5 and anyone wising more details, or who wants to donate raffle prizes, can contact organiser Del Charles on 0777 337 5431.

A report in today’s East Fife Mail stated incorrectly that the show was happening this Friday – we apologise for the error – but it is on Sunday, July 5.
