Alloy wheels worth £3000 stolen from car showrooms

Police in Fife are appealing for witnesses following the theft of alloy wheels worth in the region of £3000 from VW car showrooms.

The incidents occurred at Specialist Cars premises in Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline in the late evening of both Wednesday and Thursday night.

Officers are now appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

Detective Sergeant Samantha Davidson of Kirkcaldy CID said: “Our inquiries are ongoing and we will be studying CCTV images in an effort to glean further information.

“However we are also keen to speak to anyone who can assist our inquiries.

“Meanwhile we would urge businesses and owners of high-value VW cars to take extra security precautions and, in particular, to fit locking wheel nuts to the car wheels.”
