Amazon warehouse evacuated as police investigate suspicious package

Police are investigating reports of a suspicious package sent to Amazon’s giant Fife warehouse today.

The building on the edge of the M90 was evacuated and roads around it closed earlier this evening.

The drama began around 5:30pm when officers were called to the warehouse which is Amazon’s biggest centre in the UK.

A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland received a report of a suspicious package found within the Amazon offices in Dunfermline, Fife.

“The building has been evacuated as a precaution and officers are in attendance.”

Roads around the plant were closed while officers investigated.
