THE Craw’s Nest Hotel in Anstruther hosted the annual lunch for the National Trust for Scotland’s East Fife Members’ Centre.
Over 80 members turned out while the guest speaker was Lord Jamie Lindsay, president of the NTS since September 2012.
He has a distinguished background in a wide area including the environment, food industry, education and politics.
Lord Lindsay gave the Centre a further honour when he mentioned it was the first members’ centre he’d addressed since his appointment as president.
He went on to highlight the large and comprehensive place the Trust has in Scottish life, not only in the care of a large number of properties which lie at the core of our heritage, but also in the preservation and maintenance of large tracts of land of great scenic beauty and historical significance.
A vote of thanks was given by former Trust vice-president June Baxter, honorary president of the Centre.
