Appeal after motorcyclist dies in Fife collision

The collision happened about two miles outside Burntisland on the A909 Burntisland to Cowdenbeath road near to its junction with Binhill Road around 1pm today (Saturday, March 5).

The man was taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy where he was pronounced dead.

Road Policing Sergeant Derek Allan said: “Sadly a young man lost his life in this incident and my thoughts and condolences go to his friends and family.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area of the collision around 1pm today or who may have seen the motorcyclist travelling up to there from the A92.

“Anyone with information is asked to please contact us on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
