Appeal after serious crash on A92

Police in Fife are appealing for information following a serious road crash on the A92.

The incident happened on the A92 southbound, at the Forgan roundabout, around 11.40am on Saturday, and involved one car.

The 26-year-old male driver was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee as a precaution.

The 34-year-old female passenger sustained a serious hand injury and was also taken to hospital.

The road was closed for around five hours for an investigation at the scene and re-opened later that day.

Sergeant Michelle Burns, of Glenrothes Road Policing Unit, said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances which led to this crash and would urge anyone with information to come forward.

“We would be keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have seen the vehicle involved beforehand. Anyone who was on the road around the time of the incident and may have dashcam footage which could assist with our investigation is asked to contact police.

“Anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident 1354 of 19 December.”
