Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Methil on Saturday.

The incident happened on Kirkland Road near to its junction with Ossian Crescent at around 8.45 p.m. when two men approached the male victim and demanded that he had over money.

One of the men is described as in his 20s, 5’10’’ tall, slim build, short dark hair, wearing dark coloured clothing and trainers.

The other is also described as being around the same age and with a similar build and clothing.

Officers are now urging anyone who can assist with their enquiries to come forward.

Detective Sergeant James McGuinness said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen two males in the area around 8.45pm to come forward. “Thankfully the victim was not injured but he is understandably shaken and upset.

“We would urge anyone with information that can help us trace this suspect to contact us immediately on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
