Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a motor scooter in Cupar.

The vehicle was stolen sometime from an address in Kinloss Park between 10pm on Tuesday, April 12 and 8am the following day.

The black Vespa GTS250 was stored within a garage that was broken into during this time.

A white Vespa also sustained damage to its steering lock and it is believed those responsible also attempted to steal this vehicle.

Officers are now urging anyone who can assist with their inquiries to come forward.

Constable Kevin Adam said: “The break-in to the garage and theft of this scooter, along with attempted theft of the second vehicle has left the owner deeply upset and we are eager to establish the whereabouts of the stolen Vespa.

“Anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity around Kinloss Park between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning is asked to contact police immediately.

“In addition, if anyone is approached by someone looking to sell a Vespa scooter, then please also get in touch.”

Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
