An arrest has been made as police in Fife continue their investigations after a body was found in Glenrothes on Monday.
Police were called to a flat in Tummel Road in the Balfarg area of the town on Monday after concerns were raised about the welfare of an individual.
The body of a man was found with an injury to the neck.
The man found has now been identified as Aleksandrs Sokolovs, a 29-year-old Latvian national living in the town.
His death is still being treated as suspicious and officers are currently pursuing a positive line of enquiry.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested for a matter in connection with the police investigation, which is ongoing.
