Arrest made in connection with Kirkcaldy petrol station robbery

A man has been arrested in connection with a robbery at a Kirkcaldy petrol station.

Officers were informed of the incident at the Shell garage on Hendry Road at around 1am this morning (Sunday).

No one was injured as a result of the incident, however a three figure sum of cash was stolen.

A spokesman for Police Scotland confirmed a 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the robbery.

Investigations are ongoing however no one else is sought in relation to this.

Detective Chief Inspector Scott Cunningham said: “Our enquiries are continuing and we would urge anyone who may have information to come forward.

“Anyone with information is asked to call us on 101 quoting reference 257 of 11/02 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
