Police in Fife have apprehended four youths over the last week, following several incidences of the illegal riding of motorcycles in Methil and East Wemyss.
The youths were detected as part of Operation Ducati, a local police initiative targeting those involved in the illegal use of motorbikes on and off the road.
Community Inspector Tom Brown said: “I am extremely pleased with interventions made by local officers in tackling the illegal and anti-social use of motorcycles in the area.
“It is difficult to apprehend certain individuals at the time of the offence.
“However, information from the public, along with evidence gathered through our enquiries, is leading to the identification of those responsible.
CI Brown added: “Operation Ducati will continue over the coming months to address concerns raised by the public.”
If you have any information on the illegal use of motorcycles or any crime in the Levenmouth area call Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Your calls will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.
