The first of two artistic extravaganzas hosted by St Leonards School will put the local community in the picture next week.

From Tuesday, April 24, until Wednesday, May 2, the St Andrews school will be exhibiting the stunning array of amazing artwork produced by its IB2 (S6) Visual Art students over the past academic year.

Open on weekdays, from 9am - 4pm (closed between 1 and 2pm), the IB Art Exhibition 2012 will feature a variety of inspired drawings, paintings, sculptures, photographs, prints and carvings.

And art lovers won’t have to wait long for a chance to catch a glimpse of what other year groups have been up to in the St Leonards art department, with the whole school exhibition following in June.

Head of art and design at St Leonards, Donna Rae, told the Citizen: “It’s always nice to be able to bring all of the pupils’ work together.

“The IB2 students have worked extremely hard and produced some wonderful artwork which I’m thrilled to be able to show to the public.”

All visitors to the IB Art Exhibition are kindly asked to report to the School Office first.
