A PENSIONER who assaulted his wife has had sentence deferred on him for reports.

Peter Louden (71), of 2 Brodie Crescent, Glenrothes, had previously admitted that on February 1 this year at 102 Macindoe Crescent, Kirkcaldy, he assaulted his wife Margaret by kicking her on the body.

He also admitted behaving in a threatening manners by shouting abuse to his wife and another person.

Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court heard last week that Mrs Louden wished for husband to seek help, but was not willing to have him home. Deferring sentence until March 1 for a social work report, Sheriff James Williamson said: “There is a suggestion that there may be a psychiatric problem.”
