FIFE Constabulary wishes to thank people in Glenrothes for their help in tracing a man over the alleged assault of a pregnant woman in the town last month.
The 24-year-old man has been charged with attempted robbery and is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on December 9th.
Detective Constable Lynsey Johnstone said: “This was a vicious assault on a heavily pregnant woman and we were very keen to trace whoever did this. Thanks to a great response from the public, we have been able to arrest someone and charge them with this offence as well as report them to the Procurator Fiscal for a similar offence.
“Fortunately the victim, although badly shaken and slightly injured has gone on to make a full recovery and has since given birth to a baby boy.”
