Balbirnie House named Scottish Hotel of the Year

Balbirnie House Hotel scooped the top prize at the 13th annual Scottish Hotel Awards gala dinner in Edinburgh last night (Sunday).

It was one of three awards achieved by the team at the 18th century Georgian mansion.

They also won Wedding Hotel of the Year, and Angela Ferguson, from Balbirnie, was named among the Rising Stars.

Over 400 people attended the much anticipated and prestigious event, which celebrates the accomplishments of Scotland’s best hotels and hospitality professionals.

The winners were selected after a 12 month research process and are a true reflection of Scotland’s thriving and ever-growing hospitality industry.
