Police have said the 26-year-old was riding a bicycle similar to the one in a photograph they issued today.

Stuart’s bike is slightly different in that it has mudguards fitted and is gunmetal grey rather than black. There is no writing on the wheels on his bike either.

The saddle is also different and would be extended to full height.

Stuart has not been in touch with friends or family since Friday and concern is now growing for his welfare.

Officers are now urging anyone who can assist with their enquiries to come forward.

Stuart was wearing a black leather jacket, grey hooded top and jeans.

Sergeant Alan Stewart of Kirkcaldy Police Station said: “The circumstances around Stuart being reported missing have given rise to concern for him and we are keen to hear from anyone with information about his whereabouts.

“Anyone who thinks they have seen Stuart or the bicycle pictured is asked to please contact us on 101.

“Similarly if Stuart himself sees this appeal, we would ask him to contact us or his friends or family to let us know he is safe and well.”
