This weekend sees the start of a new TV series that’s sure to grab you – a zombie-themed reality show featuring an ex-Hollywood stuntman from Leven.
‘I Survived A Zombie Apocalypse’ begins on BBC3 and brings a touch of horror to the game show format.
Inspired by such hit dramas as ‘The Walking Dead’ and ‘In The Flesh’, it features contestants, trapped in a shopping mall, who tackle a variety of urban survival techniques to complete tasks.
But they are unaware they’re being stalked by ‘walking corpses’ – and they have to avoid being bitten by a zombie to stay alive.
Bob McCrystal, who worked for around 20 years as a stuntman in major film and TV productions on both sides of the Atlantic, features as one of the ‘premier’ zombies, who is menacing the participants the whole time.
He’s in the guise of a chef – which, these days, is his regular job.
Bob (67) to ld the Mail the series was tremendous fun to work on.
Presented by Greg James, ‘I Survived A Zombie Apocalypse’ begins on BBC3 this Sunday, February 15, at 10.00 p.m.
