Do you have fond memories of the Linton Lane Centre – or the Kirkcaldy Boys’ Club as it was previously?

Then the management committee wants to hear from you.

The local community centre is preparing to celebrate a very special Golden Anniversary next year.

2016 will mark the 50th anniversary of the opening of Linton Lane Centre and it is keen to hear from anyone with memories, memorabilia or photographs from the past half century.

Mandy Henderson, centre manager, said: “We are planning a series of celebrations throughout 2016, among which will be a display of memorabilia and photographs from ‘the good old days.’

“Obviously a huge number of people have been through our doors over the years, way back to when our current building first opened its doors as Kirkcaldy Boys Club.

“We know there are lots of people in Kirkcaldy, and maybe further afield, who still have fond memories of the centre, as it has always been a busy hub for the local community and families.

“If anyone has any old photos, newspaper cuttings, programmes, tickets or any other memorabilia which they would be happy to lend us, we would love them to get in touch.”
