A Buckhaven man has joined the team of a successful counselling and training service which is celebrating its first year in business.
Owing to the huge demand on its services, Fife-based Urban Therapies is now expanding its centre and has taken on full-time counselling trainer Steven Coote, from Buckhaven.
Steven, who has worked as a mechanic for 25 years, has studied counselling for the last 10 and qualified as a counselling therapist with CHARIS in Leslie, as well as studying, training and volunteering with DAPL. He said: “Having worked in a mechanical environment for many years, this is a new and exciting challenge which will use all the skills and qualifications I have worked so hard for. The future looks bright and promising being able to share my knowledge with other students and I would like to thank Rachael and Sharon for giving me the once in a life time opportunity.”
Rachael Crozier, training director, added: “We are really excited to have Steven on board and he is having a massive impact already with volunteers, students and staff.”
