Burntisland incident: 31-year-old man arrested and charged after police 'riot vans' attended disturbance at Fife Property

Police Scotland has announced that a 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged after several ‘riot vans’ were seen at a property in Burntisland on Tuesday night.

At around 6.30pm on Tuesday, April 20, police were called to a report of a man causing a disturbance within a property in Durie Park, Burntisland.

A witness captured a picture of what they described as around five or six ‘riot vans’ heading to the castle in Burntisland.

Officers confirmed that they attended the incident at the property and that a 31-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the disturbance.

A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: “Around 6.30pm on Tuesday, 20 April, police were called to a report of a man causing a disturbance within a property in Durie Park, Burntisland.

“Officers attended and a 31-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

"He is due before Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 21 April, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
