A ‘GREEN’ energy plant will provide the Glenrothes area with a new landmark.

When the plant is completed in two years time, it will feature a near-250 feet tall emissions tower, made of steel, which will be visible for miles around.

The biomass facility is currently being constructed by RWE npower Renewables at a cost of £200 million.

When completed, it will provide power for both the paper mill and for sale to the national grid.
