Cupar Amateur Musical Society has been working hard in rehearsal since August of this year to put on its show ‘Me and My Girl’, which it will perform in Cupar Corn Exchange from February 2-6.
The show, which tells the story of an ordinary Cockney lad who finds himself as the heir to the position of an Earl and riches, is produced by Scott Melvin, while musical director is Kate Doig and choreographer is Lorna Lewis.
The show has very strong principals, namely Andrew Doig, Helen Knowles, Neil Jarrett, Suzie Brain, Ruth Anderson, Eric Towns, Craig Spence, Joan Wood, Bill Gillan, Raymond Young, Gordon Wood, Jude Vandercasteele and Gary Smith.
The production team has worked hard with members of the chorus to ensure a very colourful and entertaining show.
Rehearsals are held twice a week.
Although audiences may not be familiar with the show itself, they are likely to know some of the music and songs, including ‘The Sun Has Got His Hat On’ and ‘The Lambeth Walk’.
Tickets go on sale from January 23 but can be booked online at www.cuparams.org.uk or by contacting the secretary by emailing email@example.com
