Can you help police in Glenrothes identify vandals?

Police are urging members of the public in Glenrothes to help officers respond to vandalism in the community after a series of incidents in the west of the town.

The call comes following incidents in the South Parks, Macedonia, Newcastle, Caskieberran and Tanshall areas.

Residents and busineses, whose properties are wilfully damaged, often find the experience extremely distressing and the financial cost can be significant.

Officers are continuing to tackle vandalism, increasing patrols in affected areas, but they are also asking the public to assist. Anyone with information that may help identify those responsible for vandalism or other crimes is urged to get in touch by writing to PS Kenny Greig, c/o Freepost EH2479, Fife Police Divisional Headquarters, Detroit Road, Glenrothes, KY6 2RJ; emailing [email protected] or by calling 101.

Community Sergeant Kenny Greig said: “There have been recent vandalisms in the west of the town. We are actively investigating these incidents and I would urge anybody with information on this to contact us. Some reports of vandalism may not seem particularly serious but in every case there is a victim.”
