A local charity is hoping to make the most of your generosity this October with help from an online fundraiser.
Localgiving is dedicated to providing funding opportunities for local charities and community groups in the UK - and this month they are supporting Homelands Trust-Fife.
The Localgiving mission is to safeguard the sustainability of the local voluntary sector by empowering charitable organisations to connect with supporters, fundraise online and take control of their future.
From now until the end of January 2015, Localgiving is running an online ‘Grow Your Tenner’ fundraising initiative.
For every donation made online to Homelands - which is based in Lundin Links - of up to £10, and any monthly donations of up to £10 per month for six months, the organisers will match the donation with an equal amount.
Through the scheme, Homelands can receive a maximum of £2000 from one time donations of £10 and a maximum of £10,000 for Direct Debit donations up to £10 per month for six months. With anyone eligible for Gift Aid, this will increase a donation further.
The fundraising initiative runs until January 31, 2015, or until the pot runs out - whichever is first - so the early birds will fare best.
