Inspector Nicola Black of Cupar police station said: “As part of our on-going search effort to find Ian we have successfully secured CCTV images that were taken not long after he left Anstruther.

“He has then travelled to North Lanarkshire however we don’t know where he has gone after this point.

“We’ve significant concern for Ian’s welfare and are extremely keen to hear from anyone who has seen him.

“Particularly other motorists who may have spoken to him in the petrol station. Even a small piece of information may hold a vital clue as to his whereabouts.

“We know that he has a number of links across the country including in the Braemar area and parts of England, and he may be travelling to one of these locations.”
