Transport police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with a late night assault at Kirkcaldy station.

The attack happened on Saturday, September 12 as a man got off the train.

The 25-year old had been travelling on the 23:08 service from Edinburgh Waverley to Dundee, and got off at Kirkcaldy.

Now British Transport Police officers have released CCTV images of man they believe may have information on the assault which happened just before midnight.

The man in the photograph is described as being of medium build, with light brown hair and wearing a light blue jacket, an orange top and jeans.

Detective Constable Paul Farquhar, the BTP the officer in charge of the enquiry, said: “I am appealing to anyone who recognises the man shown in the photographs to contact me as a matter of urgency.”
