Changes to Fife trains during Glasgow Queen Street tunnel closure
The ScotRail Alliance has confirmed the 7.13a.m. train from Kirkcaldy direct to Glasgow Queen Street will run to Haymarket station only, where customers will change for a service to Glasgow during the 20-week closure.
The normal timetable will resume on Monday, August 8.
The 5.33p.m Glasgow Queen Street to Markinch train will not run during the tunnel closure and customers should use the Journey Planner on Scotrail’s website to find their best alternative journey.

The £60m project will renew nearly 2km of ageing track through Queen Street tunnel and enable faster, longer, greener trains to operate on Scotland’s rail network from later this year.
A ScotRail Alliance spokeswoman said: “Upgrading the tunnel will allow us to run faster, longer, greener trains in the future.
“This will mean more seats, shorter journey times and less impact on our environment. The long term benefits of this investment will be considerable, not just for our railway, but also for the country.”
