The demolition of the Glenrothes House office block at the Kingdom Shopping Centre is progressing well.
The inside of the building has now been stripped out and demolition of the external walls is planned to start on Saturday.
Visitors to the centre will be able to see a 40m ‘super high reach’ demolition machine in the Kingdom Centre skyline as it undertakes the deconstruction. Complete demolition of the building is expected to be completed by the end of July.
The demolition of Glenrothes House is a key step in the redevelopment of the Kingdom Shopping Centre and Town Centre in Glenrothes, with plans to create a new Tesco supermarket and a new improved entrance to the shopping mall.
