Fife Employment Access Trust (FEAT) was represented at a well-known annual ceremony in London.
The group at the centre of plans to transform Silverbun Park in Leven was recently visited by Alistair Carmichael MP, the Scottish Secretary.
So impressed was he by the charity’s range of work that FEAT’s general manager, Duncan Mitchell, was invited to be among the Secretary’s guests at a reception to view Trooping the Colour, part of the Queen’s recent birthday celebrations.
Duncan, above, said: “It was a great honour to be asked along and a great experience to witness this event at close quarters. The work of FEAT has been catching the eye of influential people across the UK in recent years and it’s important we keep our profile high as it always helps to secure funding for continuing our vital work in Fife.”
FEAT also specialises in helping boost employment prospects for people who have had mental helath problems.
