Gift Day: A ‘Gift Day’ coffee morning will be held in Kinghorn Church Hall on Saturday from 10.00 a.m to noon. The event aims to raise funds in preparation for the refurbishment of the church shop on the High Street.
Strawberry Teas: THE next Strawberry Teas will be held by Bennochy Parish Church tomorrow (Friday). The teas will be served in the church gardens, or Methven Hall if it is wet, from 2.00 p.m to 4.00 p.m. All welcome.
Summer services: ONCE again some of the town centre churches will share their summer services. Bennochy Church will host the service on Sunday, July 8 before it rotates between Abbotshall Church (July 15); St Bryce Kirk (July 22) and Linktown Church (July 29).
Church Barbecue: ST Mark’s Coptic Church in Links Street is hosting a summer barbecue in Beveridge Park on Saturday. The event will be held next to the rose gardens from noon until 3.00 p.m. There will be food, drinks, music, face painting and fun for the family. All welcome.
Strawberry Teas: STRAWBERRY Teas will be held in Thornton Parish Church hall on Saturday from 10.00 a.m until noon. There will be a variety of stalls including cake and candy, craft, books and bric-a-brac.
Olympic Torch: THE Olympic Torch is coming to Torbain Parish Church on July 29 at 10.30 a.m. Come along to the Sunday service where you can hear the story behind the torch and can hold the torch and get your photograph taken with it. There will also be a ‘mini Olympics’ for children. All welcome.
Open doors: BURNTISLAND Parish Church once again opens its doors for a series of open days this summer. Built in 1592 the church is the oldest post reformation church in use in Scotland. The church will be open between 2.00 p.m and 4.00 p.m, Monday to Saturday, with members of the congregation on hand to guide and answer questions.
