Annual Conference: KINGHORN Church will hold its annual conference on Sunday afternoon. This year the event is for the whole church family, not just leaders. Graeme Simpson of Pioneers, a mission agency will be a guest speaker.
Bibleworld Mobile: THE hi-tech multimedia mobile classroom, Bibleworld Mobile, is currently in Kirkcaldy. Brought to town by the Scottish Bible Society, the unit is being used by local schools and community groups to bring the story of the bible to life. A series of open events for members of the public are taking place in the coming days. The unit, at the Basin Car Park on the Esplanade, will be open on Saturday from 1.00 p.m to 3.00 p.m and on Thursday, November 8 from 6.30 p.m to 8.30 p.m.
Shop refurbishment: THE Church shop on Kinghorn High Street, the Glory Hole, will be closing on November 9 for refurbishment and they are having a clearance sale - all items now half price. The shop will reopen some time in January.
Music society: THE next concert by Kirkcaldy Music Society will take place in St Peter’s Church, Townsend Place, Kirkcaldy on Wednesday, November 7 at 7.30 p.m. The Idomeneo String Quartet will perform.
Guild meeting: THE next meeting of St Bryce Kirk Guild will take place on November 13. The discussion topic is ‘A Faith to Proclaim’.
Christmas CD: LINKTOWN Church have produced a new Christmas CD, which includes some well known carols and a wide variety of other popular Christmas music. The CD was recorded in the church and features music by Ian Ogilvie, the Joyful Noise Church band and vocals from The Young Church. All proceeds from the CD, which is now on sale and costs £5, will go to church funds.
Autumn Fair: THE Autumn Fair held by Erskine Church Women’s Association last weekend raised a total of £1100. Thanks was given to those who helped make the event such a success.
