If you enjoy crochet and knitting, then a new group which meets weekly in Kennoway Library may be sew good for you.

It is open to all who are interesting in the crafts of knitting and crochet and the members are inviting more people to join them.

The group’s Nessie Logan explained: “We hope to support the Highland Malawi Trust in its endeavours to clothe young children and babies who have nothing.

“We also hope to knit for other good causes, such as our local homeless people.

“This is a new venture, so we call upon all those with an interest to give it your support.

“You may well be already supporting another good cause – just bring along your project and come for the blether.”

Nessie added: “This group is as much about the social aspect as it is the good causes.

“For those who would like to learn the craft or brush up on skills, then just come along.”

Members meet every Wednesday morning from 10am until noon at Kennoway Library, 1 Bishops Court, and it’s free, with refreshments provided.

Those wishing more information can contact Nessie on 01333 353434.

She is involved too with the Knit and Natter Coffee Club at Largo Baptist Church, which has also supported the Malawian children and babies’ project, plus homeless people here over the last couple of years.
