Coastwatch Scotland’s St Monans station recently held an open day, in which local people and visitors were invited to come and chat with the team of volunteers and learn about their work.

The lookout was established in 2013 and is based in the historic St Monans Windmill on the Braes.

A team of six volunteers provides safety at sea and monitors all shipping and sea life, covering an area from Anstruther to Elie including Shell Bay.

St Monans station is on the lookout for volunteers and anyone interested should call in at thebase any Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday afternoon and meet the team.
