Coming up roses for Cairneyhill in Beautiful Scotland awards

A Dunfermline MSP has congratulated a West Fife village for being awarded a Silver Medal in the Beautiful Scotland competition, reports GAIL MILNE.

Cairneyhill won the award for the second year in the row.

Local councillor and SNP MSP, Bill Walker, was delighted to hear of the win in the Beautiful Scotland award which has, for over 40 years, supported the efforts of groups working to improve local communities.

Mr Walker said: “I am so pleased to hear that Cairneyhill has once again won this award. Every year the standard of entries and the number of entrants in this competition rises, The Cairneyhill in Bloom Group are to be congratulated and commended on all their hard work.”

In addition to the Silver Award from Beautiful Scotland, Cairneyhill is also the proud holder of Silver Gilt from the Beautiful Fife Awards for 2011.
