A funeral service at Leven Parish Church, followed by a burial at East Wemyss Cemetery, was held this morning for the 82-year-old, known to her friends as Rae, who was murdered in her own home home shortly after New Year.

Mrs Logie was found dead in her Green Gates flat on the evening of January 5.

She was a regular churchgoer and well known to many people in the community.

The service was conducted by local minister the Rev Gilbert Nisbet, who said beforehand that the main aim would be to remember Rae’s life and the good things about it.
