Officers in Levenmouth seized a significant quantity of cannabis in a day of action on Friday.
Acting on intelligence, police recovered the class B drugs, which have a street value of approximately £8700, and a sum of money from an address in Morar Street in Methil.
A man and woman, both 33-years-old, were subsequently arrested and charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
They have since been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
Community Sergeant Craig Fyall from Levenmouth Police Station said: “As a result of this activity, local officers have successfully prevented a significant amount of drugs from reaching the community.”
“This is another example of positive action taken to remove illegal drugs from our streets, which has served a damaging blow to the local drugs network.
