A man is to appear in court in connection with making sexual comments and gestures in two Fife towns.

The 39-year old was arrested by Police Scotland, and will appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Monday.

It follows reports of several incidents.

Police said the first was reported on Thursday when a driver allegedly made sexual remarks to a 33-year-old woman around 1:45pm in Kinghorn.

Officers also investigated two further incidents in Lochgelly on Friday.

Police said a man allegedly made a sexual gesture from within a car towards a five-year-old boy at Red Ash Park, around 4:30pm.

Half an hour later, there was a report of a man allegedly making a sexual gesture from within a car towards a 27-year-old woman and an right-year-old girl on the town’s Hall Street.

Detective Inspector Karen Muirhead, of Dunfermline CID, said: "We understand reports of this behaviour causes concern amongst the community.”
