Baby who died at Fife flat named by police
Police have confirmed the identity of the three week old infant as Violet-Ivy Turnbull who died in Cupar on Saturday (October 22).
In a statement released through Police Scotland, her family paid tribute.

Hide Ad“We as a family are devastated by the loss of our beautiful daughter, granddaughter and sister Violet-Ivy Turnbull,” they said.
“We wish to be left in private to mourn at this time.”
Officers attended Kinloss Crescent on Saturday morning following the death of the newborn.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained pending further enquiries.
A police presence remains outside the first floor flat.
A resident of Kinloss Crescent said she had been aware of a police presence in the street since Saturday morning.

Hide Ad“The first I became aware of anything was when someone posted a message on Facebook.
“I then saw a few uniformed, CiD and forensic staff.”
Another local, who similarly wished to remain anonymous, said she believed the present occupier had only been in the property for about three months.
“It’s a real tragedy,” she said.
