Banned drink-driver caught on Kirkcaldy roads at excessive speeds

Keiron Naismith, of Malcolm Court, Dunfermline, appeared before Sheriff Kevin Veal at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.
Naismith, 20, admitted on November 22, 2020 on St Clair Street, Standing Stane Road, Loughborough Road, Pathhead, the Esplanade, all Kirkcaldy, Bridge Street, Cowdenbeath and the A921 he drove a vehicle while disqualified.

Hide AdHe further admitted on the same date and on the same roads he drove a vehicle after consuming so much alcohol the proportion of it in his breath was 46 microgrames. The limit is 22.
He also admitted on the same date and in the same place he drove a vehicle dangerously and at excessive speeds, drove on the opposite side of the road, drove round a roundabout on the wrong side of the road and overtook a moving vehicle on a blind corner. He committed the offences while on bail.
Naismith admitted on September 22, 2020 on High Street, Inverkeithing and elsewhere in Rosyth, he drove a vehicle dangerously to evade a pursuing police vehicle, drove at excessive speed and failed to keep the vehicle under proper control, causing it to wheelspin.
He also admitted on the same date and in the same place driving a car without insurance and driving a car while being the holder of a provisional licence, not accompanied by a qualified driver and not displaying ‘L’ plates on the vehicle.
Sentence was deferred until May 17 and bail was continued.
