Car crashed into Kirkcaldy flat wall

Police in Kirkcaldy are seeking witnesses to an incident which resulted in a car crashing into the wall of a block of flats this afternoon.

The incident happened shortly before 1.45pm when a blue Renault Scenic crashed into a wall in the Mill Street area of the town, causing damage to gas pipes.

One of the residents in the flats told the Press he had heard a bang and looked out his window to see a car crashed into the wall.

“By the time I went to the front door to see if the driver was okay the vehicle was empty.”

Meanwhile an eye witness to another incident at the corner of Pratt Street and Milton Road around the same time said he had seen a man “ranting and raving” and trying to pull another man out of a vehicle stopped in the area.

A police spokesman said a report had been received of a car crashing into a wall around 1.45pm in Mill Street, Kirkcaldy.

“No one was injured in the collision.

“Enquiries into this matter are ongoing and anyone with relevant information is asked to contact police on 101 or, alternatively an anonymous report can be made to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
