Car stolen following Fife housebreaking

Police are appealing for information after a car was stolen following a housebreaking in Fife over the weekend.

A property in Cheviot Road, Kirkcaldy, was broken into at some time between 9.30pm on Friday, January 26 and 8am on Saturday, January 27.

Electronic equipment worth a three figure sum was taken along with a silver Hyundai Getz car.

Officers are now urging anyone who may have seen suspicious behaviour in the area to get in touch.

Anyone who can help them trace the Hyundai is also asked to contact them.

Detective Sergeant Craig Fraser, of Kirkcaldy CID, said: “We are asking anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area of Cheviot Road on Friday night or early Saturday morning to please give us a call or come into Kirkcaldy police station.”
