A man has admitted his “dangerously out of control” dog attacked a 10-year-old girl - biting the defenceless child on the body.
Bruce Rourke’s collie attacked the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, at a Scotmid store in Castle Street, Tayport, Fife.
The animal lunged at the girl before biting her on the body, Dundee Sheriff Court has heard.
Rourke, (57) of William Street, Tayport, Fife, pleaded guilty on summary complaint to a charge under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
Sheriff Alastair Brown deferred sentence until later this month for Rourke to appear in court in person.
